Application open: until August 31, 2018
Possible start of work: October 1, 2018
The Urological Research Team of the Spinal Cord Injury and Tissue Regeneration Center Salzburg (SCI-TReCS) at the Paracelsus Medical University (PMU) is offering a fully funded PhD position in neuro-urological research within the PMU PhD program (http://www.pmu.ac.at/ en/medicalsciencephd.html).
SCI-TReCS was founded in 2011 with the aim to investigate regenerative mechanisms in the field of spinal cord injury. The Urological research team focusses on functional and structural changes of the urinary bladder after a spinal cord injury and to develop therapies to treat neurogenic bladder dysfunctions.
The PMU offers a cutting-edge microscopy facility and well-equipped research laboratories. The Neuro-Urology/SCI-TReCS offers a high-end recording station for functional bladder analysis and access to an organ bath.
